Privacy Policy

Famloop is a family organiser app that helps you keep everyone in the loop — shared calendars, chores, meal plans, shopping lists, rewards and more.

This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Famloop is operated by the Famloop team.

By creating a Famloop account you agree to the practices described here.

To use Famloop you create an account with an email address and password. You can also sign in with Google or Apple.

We store your email address, display name and a profile photo (if you choose to upload one). Family owners can invite other members by email address.

Famloop can sync with your Google and Microsoft Outlook calendars. Connecting a calendar uses the official Google and Microsoft sign-in pages — you never enter your calendar password in Famloop.

When you connect a calendar, we receive a limited access token that lets us read and (when you enable editing) write events. Access tokens are stored encrypted and are only used to display and manage your events.

You can disconnect a calendar at any time from Settings, which revokes our access and deletes the stored token.

The content you and your family add — chores, meal plans, shopping list items, rewards, chat messages, polls and notes — is stored so that everyone in your family can see and work with it.

Family owners and admins control who is invited and what level of access each member has. Members can be removed at any time.

We do not share your family's content with anyone outside your family, except as required by law or as described in this policy.

If you enable Alexa integration, Famloop provides a personalised feed so Echo Show devices and Alexa skills can read out your schedule, chores and meal plans.

Each hub connection uses a private link unique to your family. You can revoke a hub at any time from the Hubs page.

Voice commands sent through the Alexa skill (such as marking a chore complete) are processed to perform the action you requested.

Famloop sends email for invitations, event reminders and calendar sync alerts so your family stays coordinated.

You can choose which notifications you receive from Settings. You can also set quiet hours so reminders don't arrive at inconvenient times.

Paid plans are processed by Stripe. Famloop never sees or stores your full card number — payment details are handled securely by Stripe.

We keep a record of your subscription plan and billing status so we can manage your account and show the right features.

We collect basic technical and usage information — such as which features are used and when errors occur — to improve Famloop and fix problems.

This data is aggregated and does not identify individual family members.

We keep your data for as long as your Famloop account is active. When you delete your account or your family, we remove the associated data within a reasonable period, except where we are legally required to keep it longer.

Disconnected calendar tokens are deleted immediately when you disconnect.

We take reasonable steps to protect your data, including encrypting calendar access tokens at rest and using row-level security to restrict database access.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices.

Famloop is designed for families and may be used by children under the supervision of a parent or guardian who manages the family account.

We do not knowingly collect data from children outside the family account context. If you believe a child has provided information without consent, please contact us and we will remove it.

You can view, update or delete your profile and family data from within the app at any time.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

Famloop integrates with several third-party services to provide its features:

Google and Microsoft for calendar sync, Apple and Google for sign-in, Stripe for payments, Amazon Alexa for voice and hub features, and email delivery services for notifications.

Each service has its own privacy policy that governs how it handles your data when you use it.

We may update this policy as Famloop evolves. When we make significant changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
